We absolutely love dressing window displays and this was especially fun as it was in the heart of London, Portobello Road. Everytime we visit, we can’t help but sing the song from Bedknobs and Broomsticks…
“Portobello Road, Portobello Road
Street where the riches of ages are stowed.
Anything and everything a chap can unload
Is sold off the barrow in Portobello road.”
As part of a Bridal Collective, we collaborated with the likes of Rewritten and Charlotte Mills to dress the shop window. We created this dreamy piece using gypsophila and carnations. Gyp and carnations have got a bad rep from being used in very traditional and cheap flowers. When you mention them to brides, sometimes they throw their hands in the air and go “NO WAY” but used in the right way, it can look pretty darn beautiful.
